The time is now

Fishing has been just fantastic lately on the Yellowstone, Madison, and Gallatin with thick hatches of PMDs, caddis, yellow sallies, goldenstones, and a few drakes.  Grasshoppers are so close to popping i'm guessing maybe the middle or end of next week perhaps.  The dry fly action right now is just what you like to see this time of year.  After staring at the bobber most of the winter it just doesn't get any better than seeing the trout sip emerging mayflies and annihilate beetles and attractor patterns.  The subsurface game is working great as well and producing some big hard fighting browns on the nymph and streamer.  It is the heart of the summer and all fishing spots are reaching their prime so get out there on the water now!
